Basic Facts

• He was born Matthew David Lewis on June 27th in 1989 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, which makes him 18-years-old, and a Cancer. • He has green eyes, and is left-handed. • His parents are Adrian and Lynda Lewis. • He has two older brothers named Chris and Anthony, both of whom are involved in the film industry. • He has been acting since he was five years old, when he became a member of an amateur dramatics club. • He has appeared in several television series in the UK, including Heartbeat, Where the Heart Is, Emmerdale, Dalziel and Pascoe and Some Kind of Life • He attended St Mary's High School in Ikley, West Yorkshire. • An avid reader, his favorite authors are J.K. Rowling and Darren Shan. • His favorite football team is Leeds United. • His favorite rugby team is Leeds Rhino's. • He's very much into music and likes a wide variety of music, including The Strokes, The Killers, Guns N'Roses, Velvet Revolver, Oasis, Cribs, Coldplay, Pulp, Radiohead, The Beatles, etc. • He enjoys playing games on his computer and PS3, especially FIFA Football and Fight Night Round 3. • Matthew is a former member of the Air Cadets, and expressed an interest in joining the RAF, although he has recently developed an interest in film making. • Matthew was a fan of Harry Potter before he got the role of Neville and used to dress up as Harry for book release parties. • For the role of Neville, he wears a fat suit, false teeth that are yellow and crooked, shoes that are two sizes too big, and has bits of plastic stuck behind his ears to make them stick out more.
